WHY TAKE NOTES ?
~ Help us to pay attention in class
~ Help us to study for quiz/test/final exam
~ Help us to improve our our memory
~ Help us to take ownership of ideas
~ Help us to engage our senses
~ Help us to organize and process data and information
~ Helps the lectures test students on how well to captured given information.
WHY REVIEW NOTES ?
~ We lose 80% of what we hear if it is not reviewed within a few hours
~ Not enough time to absorb all the information in class
~ Identify any question
TAKE TIME EVERY DAY TO REVIEW NOTES !
WHY RECAPTURE NOTES AFTER CLASS ?
~ To fresh you up to write in quick, shorthand in class
BEFORE CLASS
~ Review the notes from the day before
~ Review your reading assignment
~ Make sure you have paper, text, pens and handout
~ Write the date at the top of you paper

As a student, we must know our lecturer's mood. So, here are some tips to know the mood of lecturer
~ Be alert of repetition
~ Watch the board or overhead projector
~ Notice the instructor's interest level
~ Let go of judgements about lecture styles
